What’s Cooking I

This introductory class provides a relaxed atmosphere for beginners to learn their way around the kitchen while developing important life skills for future independent living. Utilizing Brailed and/or adapted kitchen equipment, techniques and tools, each class allows students to work together to prepare a multi-course meal.

What’s Cooking II

Building on the techniques developed in What's Cooking I, the second level of this course will provide beginners with more in-depth knowledge of meal planning and preparation, nutrition, and culinary skills. Participants must have completed What's Cooking I to register for this class.

What’s Cooking III

The final component of the What's Cooking series, What's Cooking III, is for students who have successfully completed the first two parts of the program. Class time will focus on more complex recipes, menu planning, and cooking techniques.

Fun With Art

We know art can be mostly visual, so in partnership with certified art teachers from Opportunity Village, we’ve created a class where budding artists learn about different art mediums in a tactile way. An Art Showcase at the conclusion of the class will allow parents to view their artist’s masterpieces.

Our Dots & Tots program focuses on group play and socialization for children 18 months – 4 years old. We engage toddlers in the exploration and discovery of early literacy, peer and social interaction, daily living skills, and teach independence from family/caregivers in preparation for Preschool.
