Donor Spotlight: Thank You Troy Palmer Allstate Insurance!
We are excited to welcome one of our newest donors to our community. Billy Ward and Troy Palmer recently moved to Las Vegas in May of 2023. After setting up their new business – Troy Palmer Allstate Insurance, they wasted no time finding ways in which they can support and ingrain themselves in the local community – and Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation found a new home in their hearts.
A short, and brief history of everything… So far…
In May 2023, they kicked off their philanthropic journey with a generous donation of $1,000 to our cause at the ribbon cutting. Not only was the financial contribution a significant boost to our mission, but our students were also invited to join Billy, Troy, and other community members at the celebration; making them feel like vital members of the community and exposing them to a potential career.
But their support didn’t stop there. In June 2023, Troy Palmer and his Allstate team organized an Ice Cream Social for children attending our Summer Camp. This event brought joy, sweet treats, and fun memories to the campers.
But that wasn’t enough for Troy and Billy. They wanted to do more. They spread the word about NBCF’s important work to Allstate’s corporate office, advocating for and securing an additional $1,000 donation to match their initial contribution.
In October 2023, Troy and Billy attended our open house where they met Alexis who showed them how he uses the braille typewriter. They asked him to type out “Troy Palmer Allstate Insurance” in braille, which they plan to frame and display in their office.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Troy, Billy, and the staff at Troy Palmer Allstate Insurance for their ongoing dedication and look forward to years of friendship ahead. Their commitment to supporting the kids at Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation in every way possible showcases the power of community and the positive impact it can make. They have opened many doors for these children and ignited hope for a brighter future.
