In October 2023, the Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation welcomed a new champion for our cause – the Ludwick Family Foundation. Their arrival has brought a wave of positive change for our visually impaired students. 

From First Visit to Fast Friends 

 Wanting to give back to their community, the Ludwick family became a part of NBCF’s story when they first came to tour our facility back in 2023. After seeing our students in class and teachers in action, they endorsed NBCF with an incredibly generous donation of $50,000. This would allow for new supplies in both our classrooms and in our after-school programming. But this wasn’t just the start of their involvement. 

More Than Donors – Partners in Our Mission 

The Ludwick Family Foundation didn’t just write a check; they invested in our children’s futures. Through their generosity, we were able to obtain: 

• A special tomato chair for our preschool, allowing a non-mobile student to join peers at the table 

• A six-passenger stroller, opening up new adventures for our youngest learners 

• Twenty new iPads, ensuring all our students can harness the power of technology 

Each gift was thoughtfully chosen to enhance our students’ experiences and opportunities. It wouldn’t have been possible without the Ludwick Family Foundation’s support and belief in our mission. 

The Ludwick Family Foundation’s support goes beyond material contributions. Their enthusiasm for our work and their commitment to empowering visually impaired children have reinvigorated our entire community. They’ve shown what it truly means to be part of the NBCF family.
