March 9 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Cost: $10 per child
There are no CCSD classes on Monday, March 9th, so NBCF is planning another full-day of programming for students and siblings in grades K-12 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Register your student to join us as we head out on another adventure to Explore Nevada this time at the Valley of Fire State Park. Participants will learn more about Valley of Fire, which is world-renowned for its 40,000 acres of bright red Aztec sandstone outcrops nestled in gray and tan limestone. Valley of Fire State Park contains ancient, petrified trees and petroglyphs dating back more than 2,000 years. A Visitor Center provides exhibits on the geology, ecology, prehistory, and history of the park and nearby region. Departing from the NBCF Learning Center, the day will include an easy hike, a picnic and a trip to the Visitor Center before heading back to NBCF.
Cost to attend is $10 per student, and all attendees must be pre-registered online by March 5th, space is limited. If you are new to NBCF, please contact our Family Advocation Debbi at (702) 941-5106 prior to registering for any events.
