Batter Up! Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation to Host Beep Baseball
LAS VEGAS – On Saturday, September 14, Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation (NBCF) will host its semi-
annual Beep Baseball event from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. at Discovery Park in Henderson.
The free event will allow children from Southern Nevada with visual impairments and their families to
play an adapted version of America’s favorite past time while enjoying concessions and fun for the whole
Beep Baseball uses adaptive equipment including bases that buzz to help guide players with low vision and blindness, as well as an oversized ball equipped with a beeping device. Participating sighted family members will be offered blackout eyeshades to join in the fun.
There is no cost to participate, but families must register online, information about the event and a link to register is available at www.nvblindchildren.org/calendar.
