Homework Help & Tutoring

Homework Help - Spring 2020

NBCF offers free, after-school homework help and open recreation time for students with low vision and blindness in grades K-12, Monday-Friday from 2 pm - 4:30 pm.  Students can bus directly to Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation Learning Center, receive a nutritious snack, and get help with their homework.

Once homework is completed, students can participate in open rec time with their friends. Dinner will be served at 4:30 pm to any students participating in evening programs from 5 pm -7 pm.

If you need help with transportation to or from the center, please contact our Family Advocate, Debbi at (702) 941-5106 to discuss Paratransit options

For students that are new to NBCF, parents will need to contact NBCF prior to registering for Homework Help or any after-school programs or events to arrange a tour and complete paperwork.

1:1 Tutoring

If your child would benefit from 1:1 tutoring please complete the interest form and someone from NBCF will contact you. 1:1 tutoring may include blind specific (Braille, abacus, technology, etc.) as well as common core subjects.  You may also contact our Family Advocate, Debbi at (702) 941-5106.
