Family Advocate

Megan Philippi is the Family Advocate for NBCF. She joined NBCF in 2020 during the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic as a program coordinator. During that time, she assisted the students with their distance education and fought to help students gain the resources they needed during that time.

Megan is originally from Chicago, but has spent most of her life in Las Vegas. She graduated from UNLV in 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, later continuing and completing her Master’s degree from UNR in 2022 in the same field. She worked at the Human Behavior Institute from 2019-2020 doing case management and psychosocial rehabilitation services. From 2021-2022, Megan worked at Nevada Aging and Disability Services doing community based care case management.

Megan is a huge fan of the Golden Knights, obsesses over Disney and loves traveling when possible. Ducks are her favorite animal.
