Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation’s Visually Impaired Students to Cook Thanksgiving Meal for Their Families
WHAT: Just in time for the holiday season, students from the Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation (NBCF) are hosting their annual Thanksgiving meal! Utilizing skills learned in NBCF’s cooking classes, low and no vision students will prepare a warm turkey meal and invite families and friends to join them in celebrating the holiday and skills they have learned in their class. Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation’s cooking program is one of the many afterschool programs they provide and focuses on teaching low and no vision students how to operate kitchen appliances, follow a recipe, and create delicious meals.
WHEN: Saturday, November 19th from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m.
